Would You Rather Tag

1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?

The very first question and I find this beyond difficult to answer.  I would have to say lose all of my palettes and eyeshadows. I don't have many palettes (maybe 3-4) and my eyeshadows are a necessity to me but I would farewell them if I get to keep all of my mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lipglosses. The latter collection is far bigger.

2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?

Chop off all of my hair. I find extremely long hair unattractive and a sign of lack of maintenance. It will be very very hard to wash and with the split's a disaster! I would rather bare with the bald look and go incognito for a couple of months.

3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?, that's another hard one! Coral blush is very flattering on lots of people and instantly warms you up like a sunshine. (haha?) But I would rather a pink cheek because it is more versatile in makeup looks and looks more demure.

4.) If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather
buy clothes or makeup?
$1000 in makeup could buy a lot of things but $1000 in clothes is a more wiser choice. I would buy some pieces of high-end clothing and purchase some more wardrobe staples like jeans and tops. I would like to invest in some high quality winter coats for this season.

5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?

I would have to say...eyeliner as lipstick! I wouldn't mind spending one day with black or brown lips. I don't think it would be too shabby!

6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

Um... I live in Australia which is the land without Sephora? If we had a Sephora here, I would pick Sephora because they stock an array of makeup brands rather than a one-off brand. There would be more variety and freedom to choose - which I like. MAC is nice but not a necessity in the world of excessive makeup.

7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?

One eyeshadow colour definitely. I find that people don't notice my eyeshadow too often and when I do change it up, I like to point it out to friends. Like "Hey, do you like my new eyeshadow colour? It's new!" blah blah~ I tend to change my lip colour from time to time depending on the weather and my mood; so it is an absolute must.

8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?

Neither! But if I had to choose, I would wear summer clothes in winter because there are always heaters available. I am not that afraid of the cold than the heat. I used to always get nosebleeds  in summer when I was younger! D:

9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?Obviously bright nails. I don't like sombre dark nails that epitomize winter. I prefer eye-catching colours on the nails. Although I detest neon polishes, they were only IN like 5 years ago? They are so out of fashion and I know China Glaze recently presented a neon collection. I'm sure the formulas are great but I'm just not so keen on the idea. I like bright pinks, oranges and blues.

10.) Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
My favourite lip product is Luca's Papaw Ointment and my favourite eye product is Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I can use any other lip balm as replacement for the ointment but the primer is perfect for me. I've heard of Urban Decay Primer Potion but until then I would still say that I would give up my favourite lip product. This question wasn't hard at all!

11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
Is it just me or that I can never achieve a messy bun? They always look spikey and unflattering on me. In general, in my opinion, messy buns and Asians don't mix! We look like we failed the traditional updo worn commonly during festival time. Please don't be offended, I am just offering my point of view. Plus, I have spent ten years of my life perfecting the ponytail, so 'puh-leese' messy bun!

12.) Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
I would choose to never use lipgloss. I don't like having sticky/tacky lips anyway and having the wind blow stray hairs onto my lips and therefore having them temporarily glued! You can always use lip balm as substitute, just no stickiness :)

13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
Shave my eyebrows and have none at all. I don't find it that bad actually. People with trichotillomania have the itching desire to pull them out so I don't see why not. I can always fill them in with eyebrow pencil and still look decent. Didn't women in the 1920s shave their eyebrows and draw a thin line?? This could even be a recurring trend perhaps...we will have to see.

14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
Since makeup covers a large portion of things, I would have to admit that I can live without nail polish. It takes patience to apply polish and can be a hassle at times (when you smudge it and have to redo it!) Nail varnish makes your whole look more 'polished' [see what I did there? :P] but I can be fine without it.

So that's it! Please leave a comment below and I recommend anyone to do this tag! It is so interesting and fun! Comment which answer you liked the best. :-)

Essie Coat Azure NOTD + Review

This is a polish I bought two years ago in a Spring collection from Essie I recall it was the Essie Spring 2011 French Affair Collection called Coat Azure. I used Sally Hansen Mega Shine Top Coat for swatches below. J'aime Essie!! Je l'adore beaucoup!

When I first put this on, I had doubts regarding the colour, however, I started to like it when I stared at it in full sunlight. This is a very pretty dusty blue colour that would remind me of a pristine beach at midday. There is a slight shimmer if you look carefully and this makes it the extra bit special.  The light really bounces off and makes it all shimmery and pretty (: I would recommend this colour for spring and summer or whenever you're in a dreamy mood.

                                                         outdoor afternoon lighting

The formula for Coat Azure is fantastic; smooth, non-streaky, and lasts a week of wear with good quality base coat and top coat. Results in opaque nails in one to two coats.

Great polish from a superb collection. Even though I have owned this nail polish for two years, I still think this polish has endured the test of time. No gloopiness was experienced! Absolutely recommend this for everyone. Universally appealing and another top-notch quality from Essie. 5 stars~!

Colours of the Rainbow Tag

This tag must be one of the coolest and cutest ones out there and is my very first one (yay!) Well what is it? This is a simple tag where you choose beauty products from the colours of the rainbow. Example is a red lipstick for the colour red. The order goes ROYGBIV plus pink and multi-coloured so there is a total of nine colours. I have cheated a little bit by adding two products instead of one for a colour. This is because I couldn't choose between them; they were just that awesome!

This has to go to my humble old Lucas Papaw Ointment. I have been using this for years and the same tube seems to be going on forever. It makes your lips like a baby's; so soft and supple. Cracks and peeling no more! You can use this the same way as Vaseline. Cheap and highly recommended!

This is Hera's Sun Mate Daily Sunscreen. Pleasant formula that is lotion-based and blends in smoothly. Does have a bit of an oily sheen, so beware oily-skinned gals! Light floral scent that goes away after application. Available from Ebay otherwise Asia-exclusive.

Another Asia-exclusive, the Maybelline Magnum Waterproof Mascara.
Wow! This mascara made my lashes very lengthened and curled! It has a slightly drier formula compared to non-waterproof formulas and it defines lashes well. Great choice for lengthening short lashes.  I got mine for $7 on Ebay which is a steal. I recommend this for anyone looking for a good curling, defining an lengthening mascara thats also waterproof. :)

Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Clearing Concealer is a medicated concealer that helps to clear and prevent blemishes. The gentle, soothing, oil-free formula provides natural-looking coverage as blemishes heal. I got the concealer in shade 04 which is a light green tint which helps counteract redness. It works superbly for the redness around the nose and any random breakouts.

Teehee, I told you I cheated a bit, didn't I? This is the second product, the NYX Single Eyeshadow in Kiwi. A true to colour yellow-green. Has a bit of understated shimmer that is best suited with yellows and golds. Recommended for an edgy makeup look.

First ever eye shadow primer to the left is Too Faced Shadow Insurance. Let me just tell you, this is INGENIOUS! Begin bare-faced. Use a tiny dot and pat it on all over the eyelid and then apply any eye shadow. It makes most eye shadows brighter and last longer, than it would of been when worn alone. Also prevents creasing and allow shadows to stick to your eyelid. Holy Grail status for me.

Next is Maybelline Babe Skin Pore Eraser which I bought during a visit to China. It is marketed as a pore erasing primer that holds your makeup and makes your skin soft and smooth. It is also light weight and breathable. This primer is a fragrance free translucent gel with a rather thick consistency. However it is extremely easy to blend and hasn't made me break out! Note: this does not make your pores smaller although it claims to make your pores go away. Try this if you can get hold of it.

One of my favourite eye shadows is NYX Single Eye shadow in Morocco. A dark blue-based periwinkle indigo that can be used for eyeliner or in the crease. Beautiful colour and smooth texture. One of NYX's better eye shadows I have experienced.

Mac Grand Galaxy Extra Dimension Eye shadow. A difficult colour to describe as it is a blend of purple, blue, grey and taupe. Again, works nicely as a crease colour or lid colour. Takes on a metallic finish with the shimmer present. Would repurchase if it wasn't limited edition.

My two newly acquired perfumes that I have slowly fallen in love with. They are two very different scents. To the left is Katy Perry Meow 100ml released in 2011 featuring notes of tangerine, pear, jasmine and gardenia; the heart are honeysuckle, lily of the valley and orange blossom, while the sweet base features aromas of amber, vanilla, sandalwood and musk. A simple and sweet girly perfume for the younger audience. Tres creamy and enjoyable!

Lolita Lempicka L'eau en Blanc 100ml is a perfume created intended for brides however I use it when I want to smell clean like soap! The fragrance is dreamy and romantic, inspired by the scent of white violets, which is interpreted in the signature Lolita Lempicka gourmand style. The top notes include powdery iris and violet leaves. Violet flower in the heart is enriched with sweet aromas of cherry, raspberry and liquorice, while the base is woody and oriental due to accords of vetiver, tonka bean, heliotrope and musk. Tres powdery and nostalgic, reminds me of something lost in childhood memories. I like it but I don't necessarily adore it. Still worth buying in my opinion.

Sportsgirl Nail Polish in Fruit Salad. A clear base with holographic glitter that has a semi-thick formula and glossy shine. I am satisfied with this polish and the price which was $7.95 AUD. I would of chosen a rainbow glitter polish by SAVVY but I can't find it (darn it!) I apologize for that but this would have to do.

Please comment and share if you enjoyed this tag or if you would like to see some swatches. Have a smashing day darlings! :-)
