Nars Douceur review and swatches

This was a birthday gift from my lovely friend Catherine :) which she bought on Ebay. The listing assumes it's authentic and looks quite so.
I have never swatched this shade but i have seen swatches of it online and they were very beautiful! I was lemming for a pinky-brown neutral blush for anytime on any look and this fits the bill!

To start off with, this is a pinky-mauvish brown blush leaning more brown and has no yucky orange tone. It has a sheer-medium pigmentation a bit like the MAC sheer-tone blushes. It is very buildable and has a natural skin-like finish and fool-proof texture. Appears mostly matte in some lights but in sunlight there is a golden sheen/shimmer. This is both a great blush and contour shade especially if you have a light skin tone. It is long-lasting as it lasts the whole day but gradually fading to a natural flush. It also doesn't distract from your look or make you look overdone.

Sorry for the blurry and low quality picture above

Overall this is the perfect blush for everyday when you can't decide which blush to wear. Just 'poof' this on with a brush and you are ready to go! I rate this a 9/10 because I find it somehow lacking. Formula could be a bit more pigmented but this is good for beginners to build up the colour. I would recommend this for anyone from light skin tone to maybe a medium-dark. It would hardly show up on dark skintones so I would avoid. Absolutely beautiful, great starter neutral blush!

Bourjois Mineral Matte Mousse Foundation Review

This is a new blind buy from Ebay on the Bourjois Mineral Matte Mousse Foundation. I have swatches and a review ready. Let's start!

Above is the packaging of the foundation. It comes in a plastic jar which is very compact and travel friendly.

This is a swatch. It is soft, smooth and light-medium coverage. The shade that i got (82 Vanille Delicate) is suited for mostly fair to fair-medium skintones or in MAC NC20. It is a bit light for my NC25 skintone but I will have to make do.
It also has a flowery-synthetic smell reminiscent of hairspray which i detest! I prefer makeup to either be pleasant-smelling or with no smell at all.
I suggest this foundation for combination-oily skin because it is matte and a mousse formula which doesn't go well with drier skin types. So it will be a bit tricky.

This is me with only the Bourjois Mineral Matte Mousse Foundation on. I used an Ecotools Foundation brush which i got on Ebay for $3. Any soft fluffy brush like a kabuki would be fine.

This is myself with full makeup on including this foundation.
Makeup worn:

Face
-Bourjois Mineral Matte Mousse Foundation in 82
-Collection 2000 Concealer in 3 Medium
-Nyx Blush in Peach
-Chanel Tan de Soleil Chanel Bronzer
-Dior Bow Palette highlighter shade

Eyes
-Stila Dream in Full Colour Palette
-Nyx Slide-on Pencil in black
-Maybelline Magnum Mascara waterproof

Lips
-Maybelline Colour Whisper Lipstick in Rose of Attraction

 Overall, pros and cons!

PROS:
- compact
-good light-medium everyday coverage
-doesn't break me out
-matte finish
-smooth

CONS:
- flakes off after using (very annoying!)
- unpleasant synthetic-floral smell
- not enough coverage so you need at least two layers
-need a shade between 82 and 83

All in all, this is an average foundation for those looking for sheer coverage and matte finish. Good price on ebay available and drugstore item.
